Program Overview

The Phlebotomy Technician Program is a non-credit, non-degree program delivered through lectures and hands-on laboratory experiences. Students learn blood collection methods using proper techniques and precautions, including venipuncture, capillary puncture, butterfly needles, and blood culture procedures.

Emphasis is placed on infection prevention, patient identification, specimen labeling, and quality assurance. Students also perform CLIA-waived tests such as urinalysis, hematocrits, fecal occult blood, ESR, and pregnancy tests.

  • Schedule: 5 Weekend Days (Saturdays)
  • Clock Hours: 24 lecture hours + 16 hands-on lab hours

Entrance Requirements
