Program Overview
The Phlebotomy Technician Program is a non-credit, non-degree program delivered through lectures and hands-on laboratory experiences. Students learn blood collection methods using proper techniques and precautions, including venipuncture, capillary puncture, butterfly needles, and blood culture procedures.
Emphasis is placed on infection prevention, patient identification, specimen labeling, and quality assurance. Students also perform CLIA-waived tests such as urinalysis, hematocrits, fecal occult blood, ESR, and pregnancy tests.

- Schedule: 5 Weekend Days (Saturdays)
- Clock Hours: 24 lecture hours + 16 hands-on lab hours

Entrance Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Completed admission application & enrollment agreement
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Proof of immunization record
- Payment of $150 registration fee

NHA Certification Eligibility
- 30 successful venipunctures
- 10 successful capillary sticks
- Completion of all coursework
- Exam Fee: $125 (paid to NHA)
